The Directorate for Enforcement (ED) has taken the custody of the former Commissioner for the Municipal Office for City Development (MUDA) GT Dinesh Kumar.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar was arrested in Bengalur late on Tuesday and Wednesday before a special judgment.
Ed, who requested permission from a special court to prosecute Mr. Dinesha Kumar, also made a search in two residential areas that connected with him in Bengalur, for preventing the Money Wash Act (PMLA), 2002.
During his work by the Commissioner MUD in 2022 to June to 2024, Mr. Dinesh Kumar is accused of marrying a large illegal allocation of MUDA’s places “Place of satisfaction and monetary benefits”.
The investigation has so far revealed its active involvement in money washing, said sources and added that further investigation is advanced.
According to ED, Mr. Dinesh Kumar allegedly turned out to be real estate to “illegally and fraudulently assign the pages of MUD to incapable persons”.
Here it can be mentioned that two probes – one Police Lokayukty and the other committee headed by the Judge of the High Court PN Desai – gave the presidential minister Siddaramaiaha and his family pure Chit.
However, the Lokayukty police conduct further investigations of alleged discrepancies in the allocation of compensation points under the 50:50 program from 2016 to 2024 and another report is still expected.
The PN Desai Commission recommended legal action against officials responsible for the unlawful allocation of localities who had no right to compensation.
