The Election Commission (EC) sent a new reminder to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav and urged him to present an epic (voters of the photo identification card) to which he referred to during the recent press conference. The vote panel asked him to provide the original copy of the card by August 8, 2025 for a thorough question.
This development comes together with a sharp refuted from ES nad Yadav’s claim that his name was missing in Bihar’s draft election roles.
EC repeated her earlier request Tejashwi Yadav about the epic card listed during the press briefing 2. August. According to the Commission, the RJD leader must submit a card or any support documents.
“During this letter, it is again required to make the details of the epic card (along with the original copy of the card) to be made available … afternoon 08.08.2025 in the afternoon, so that it can be thoroughly examined,” EC wrote.
This means at least the second communication from the Commission for this matter, which emphasizes the severity with which it perceives this problem.
Did the name Tejashwi Yadava disappear from the election role?
EC previously publicly rejected the claim of Tejashwi Yadava that his name was omitted from the proposal of election roles issued on August 1.
During its press conference, Tejashwi Yadav has shown that the search for its epic number has returned the message “No found records”. RJD leader claimed that he had not received any confirmation from the officer at the level of the stand he visited his residence during the list.
EC officials, however, faced the name Tejashwi Yadava is very present in the list of proposals – on serial number 416 in the relevant part of the role.
What is EC’s reaction?
The Election Commission did not encounter words in response to what it called “unfounded” accusations. It reminded all political parties – including RJD – that the current role proposal is part of a special intensive revision that allows demands and objections between 1 August and 1 September.
“He should ask 47,506 agents at the level of his party’s stand to file claims and objections if he finds that some eligible voter omitted or unfit,” the EC said in a statement.
The Election Commission noted that no agent at the level of stand or other parties within 24 hours of release of the role proposal was submitted to a single claim or objection.
“All the well -being agreed to review the lists of stalls shared 1 August. The EC cannot understand why Mr. Yadav continues to file an unjustified claim,” the statement read.
