The Ugandan government has also activated additional measures to prevent further spread, including enhanced screening at borders, increased surveillance, and rapid disease detection and reporting.
International health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), have also been informed of the outbreak and are providing technical support and assistance to the government of Uganda.
Residents of Kampala are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Ebola, including frequent hand washing, avoiding close contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms, and seeking medical attention immediately if they develop symptoms.
As the situation is monitored closely, the people of Uganda remain united in their determination to combat this deadly disease and protect their health and well-being.
