Shivamogga City Corporation as part of the Dasar celebrations on Monday led the Idli and Banana competitions for Mescom employees and the public independently in Shivamogg.
Women’s employees participated in the competition for catering bananas. Mescom Janaki officer ate eight bananas in two minutes and won the first prize. Vishalakshi P. secured the second place by eating seven bananas.
In a competition for the public, Dhanalakshmi, the city’s resident, he first ended with the 11 bananas and BG Geeta won second place by her 10 bananas. Up to 15 women took part in the event.
For men Idli Eating made a competition. Among the Mescom officials, Rrakesh Gowda won the first prize by absorbing 10 IDLIS within two minutes. Sandeep stood second by eating five idlis. In the General Public, Madan, residents, he won the first prize by eating 10 Idlis.
The MLA for Shivamogg Sn Channabasappa launched competitions held under the auspices of Ahara Dasar.
