Islamabad (Pakistan), August 3 (or): Pakistan on Sunday hit an earthquake of 4.8, as stated by the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at midnight at 00:40 Indian Standard Time (IST).
It happened at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Previously, on Saturday, an earthquake hit 5.4 magnitude of some of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pandjab and Islamabad, with the inhabitants remaining in the state of panic, Ary News reported.
Shallow earthquake is generally more dangerous than deep earthquakes. This is because seismic waves of shallow earthquakes have a shorter distance for the road to the surface, resulting in stronger fraying of the Earth and potentially greater damage to structures and greater victims.
Pakistan is one of the most seismically active countries in the world and has exceeded several major mistakes. As a result, the earthquake in Pakistan often occurs and is destructive.
Thanks to this collision zone, the country is highly vulnerable to violent earthquakes. The provinces such as Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan are located on the southern edge of the Eurasian plates, while Sindh and Pandjab are located at the northwest edge of Indian albums and contribute to frequent earthquake activities.
The country’s geography causes some regions to be more susceptible to earthquakes, including the high-risk areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, because of their proximity to the main turning lines, such as the main central move.
Balochistan is located near the active border between Arab and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Other vulnerable regions, such as a pandjab that lies on the northwest edge of the Indian albums, are susceptible to seismic activity. Sindh, although less susceptible, is still endangered because of its location.
One of the most important earthquakes in Pakistan’s history is the 1945 earthquake in Balochistan (size 8.1), the largest earthquake in the history of the country. (Or)
