On Thursday morning, a preliminary earthquake of size hit.
The strongest earthquake was recorded around 9:30 am, located west of San Bernardino, near communities Fontany, Muscoy and Rialto – about 50 miles east of Los Angeles.
A series of shocks all morning
Previously, an earthquake of size-3.0 at 8.34 was hit in the morning, followed by several smaller shocks. The shock of size-3.1 appeared for about four minutes after the main earthquake 4.3, which contributed to the large tremor that felt through Riverside, San Bernardino and the surrounding areas.
No injuries or damage
Despite the noticeable tremor in the whole area, there were no immediate reports of injuries or structural damage, the officials confirmed. The region is part of the seismically active zone and such swarms of mild earthquakes are not unusual.
The authorities continue to monitor the situation, but no major disruption has been reported.
