The dramatic scenes witnessed the ceremony of laying the cornerstone in the Center for Skills for People with Disabilities, including children, as a democratic youth federation in India and Youth activists (YC) disrupted this event because the initiative was named after Rashtriya Sangh Sangh founder KB Hedgewar.
Activists of the youth wing Dyfi, CPI (M) and Congress Youth Clothing, Youth Congress, tried to disrupt this program from two sides when the police hit them to stop them.
The program was organized by the village of Palakkad, which is controlled by BJP.
Sasidharan, chairwoman of the municipality, pissed, “What was in the name?” And he said that the project intention – to help the disabled – was more important.
“In the name of Indira Gandhi and Rajiva Gandhi are stadiums. Hedgeware worked for people with disabilities. So what was wrong after him,” she asked for reporters.
Vice -chairman of the village E. Krishhnadas killed Dyfi and YC for attempting to stop the event and said it was intended for the good of more than 200 people with disabilities in this area. “The event will take place, there is no doubt,” he said.
Dyfi activists climbed to the stage, tear off the program banner, shouted the slogans, and even pushed the Mika stage, according to the visuals displayed on the TV channels.
The local leader Dyfi told reporters that the organization was not against the project, but would not allow the center to be named after the founder of the RSS.
After a similar position, the activists of the Youth Congress surrounded the place where the foundation stone was to be laid and even entered it to prevent the ceremony.
The local congress leader said that while they were not against the project, the municipalities had many names of political leaders to choose from.
“It is sad that they have chosen Hedgeware’s name. We will not allow Palakkad’s crashes,” he told reporters.
The event started after the police arrested and removed activists from the place.
