
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the police department plays a key role in achieving the state’s goal of becoming a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
As several investors have shown interest in investing in the state, maintaining law and order should be of utmost importance. The officials and employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs should not give room for even the slightest misconduct and ensure that every department remains under constant surveillance.
The deputy minister made remarks at Thursday’s pre-budget meetings of the Ministry of the Interior and the Department of Industry and IT.
He said that Hyderabad is fast becoming a leading global city and steps should be initiated to gradually expand the use of electric vehicles in the police department. The department should take steps to expand the use of CCTV network across the state and repairs to the existing CCTV network should be done where necessary, he said.
Referring to industrial progress, he said that achieving a $3 trillion economy would require the adoption of a public-private partnership regime and the Industries department should prepare plans accordingly. Equal importance should be given to the rural agricultural economy in supporting the CURE and PURE economies. Officials should therefore prepare plans to attract large-scale investments and industries that would give RARE.
Industries and IT Minister D. Srihar Babu said the state tops the country with 41 global capacity centers and the government is determined to maintain the momentum in this direction.
Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka suggested that the department take steps to promote large-scale use of artificial intelligence in data centers.
