The court issued a notice to these student candidates and asked them to respond in repairing a matter of 6 November, PTI reported.
What did the High Court in Delhi said?
The High Court in Delhi noted that candidates and organizers did not know any lessons from the previous Code of Courts, which detained the results of the vote for inconvenience and reduce public property.
“What can be worse than such campaigns in student trade union elections. Using JCB, large and luxury cars, four rounds, it’s not known. Where do such big cars – Bentley, Rolls Royce and Ferraris get?
The Court also noted that student elections – whether it be students at the University of Delhi or its other associated universities – have become an annual function and the way these surveys have been formed over the years was “a reason for concerns for each institution and citizen”, PTI said.
