Secretary General DMK and Minister Duraimurugan on Friday (April 11, 2025) expressed regret for his recent controversial comments on people with disabilities and offered an unconditional apology. He assured that such incidents would not appear.
In his statement, Mr. Duraimurgan stated that the late leader of DMK and the former main Minister M. Karunanidhi created the term “differently polluting” persons that referred to them, and since then its members of the party have referred to the community.
He noted that President DMK and Chief Minister Tamil Nadu MK Stalin took note of recent comments – in which this term was not explicitly used, but told other words – Mr. Duraimurugan said, “I was shocked and regret it. ”
Mr. Duraimurugan said, “It would be injured by sentiments of different people.
The statement of the Secretary -General of the DMK was issued soon after the President DMK removed Minister K. Ponmudy from his advancing Secretary -General after his controversial comments for women who became viral.
