Two persons were arrested on Thursday (October 16, 2025) for selling ganja in a vehicle during a check by officials of the State Task Force (STF) of the Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department in Lower Dhoolpet.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Bhadrinarayan Singh and Raja Singh. Officials also seized two mobile phones and the two-wheeler used in the offence. A total of five people have been arrested in connection with the case, while three others, identified as Mukesh, Manju Devi and Prateek Singh, remain at large.
On being tipped off, officials from the STF and Dhoolpet Excise Station conducted route tracing and impounded the vehicle.
The arrested accused and seized contraband were handed over to Dhoolpet Excise Station for further investigation.
