The routine patrol turned into the main drug bust on the night of independence when the police Abdullapurmet caught the car that hit the dividers and discovered inside 16 kg of marijuana.
The tire explosion led to an accident while smuggling was on his way to his residence in Khammam before heading to Maharahtra, the police said.
About 21:22 August 15, the police called about a white sedan, which crashed near the Nirmala service station on the NH-65 in Batasingaram in Abdullapurmet. The patrol employees threw themselves into the place to help and identify the drivers as 33 -year -old Bhukya Madhu, the resident of the Khammam district.
When checking the vehicle, the officers found two white plastic bags containing brown packages that emit a strong scent of marijuana.
The contraband, weighing 16.46 kg, was confiscated with the vehicle and a mobile phone, said inspector V. Ashok Reddy.
“During the interrogation, Madhu confessed that he was transporting marijuana from Rajahmundra to Nagpur to a friend named Sadib of Khammam. Sadib is said to have paid him 50,000,000, and ordered him to take a shipment of an unidentified supplier in Rajahmundra.
Madhu lost control of the car when speed exceeding, which led to an accident that revealed trading attempts. He tries to watch Sadiba and the supplier of Rajahmundry, who handed over the shipment.
The case was registered and Madhu was arrested. He was made on Saturday.
