
The drug salesman and transporter were arrested in Hyderabad after a joint surgery by the wing of Hyderabad (H-New) and Chaderghat Police. Officials confiscated 50 grams of MDMA and two mobile phones, together worth approximately 5.5 GBP Lakh.
The accused were identified as MoHD Osman alias Abbu, 33, a private employee from the bandlaguda, and Rahul, 23, a native of Kollam in Kerala, staying in Bangalore.
The H-News officer said Osman turned to sell after faced financial difficulties, gained drugs through contacts on Instagram and WhatsApp.
“He held MDMA from Rahul for 2,000 GBP per gram and sold it in Hyderabad at prices between 8,000 and 10,000 ₹ to finance his lifestyle,” the officer said.
Rahul, a BCA graduate from Bangalore, came into contact with the drug supplier Ashwin Das Ramanth, a native of Kerala, who currently lives in Bahrain.
“After Ashwin’s instructions, Rahul gathered drugs from dead drops organized by an unidentified foreign supplier and delivered them to Osman in Hyderabad on the basis of a commission. Ashwin, which remains escape, coordinated the supplier chain remotely via WhatsApp and online transfers,” the officer said.
The police said Osman and Rahul were caught 1.
