
The competent authority under the Act on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) confiscated assets of the usual drug salesman in Thiruvananthapuram.
The accused, Vishnu S. Kumar, 25, from Thampanoor, was involved in several cases of narcotics. The assets confiscated on the basis of a report submitted by the District Police Chief (Thiruvananthapuram City) Thomson Jose includes vehicles and other investments held by.
According to the police, Vishnu was first arrested in November 2024 during a joint operation of Thiruvananthapuram City District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (Dansaf) and Thumba Police when he was caught with 10 grams of MDMA.
After being released on bail, he allegedly restored drug trafficking. In June 2025 he was arrested again by the Police Dansaf and Peroorkada while smuggling 47 grams of MDMA from Bengalur by car. He is also charged in another drug case registered at the Vishinjam Police Station.
Mr. Jose said that such strict measures will continue against small and organized drug pedlines operating in the city.
