
President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Amrit Udyan 2026 winter edition on Sunday. This world-renowned garden, formerly known as the Mughal Garden, is set to mesmerize visitors this spring with its spectacular collections of roses, tulips, herbaceous plants, a vast array of trees, shrubs and seasonal flowers and other exotic species. Amrit Udyan, nestled in the Rashtrapati Bhawan grounds, provides a visual feast every year.
When is the best time to visit Amrit Udyan?
Blooming with key attractions like Herbal Garden, Bonsai Garden and Musical Fountain, Amrit Udyan will be open to public from February 3. It will remain open for almost two months except Mondays, which are maintenance days. It will also be closed on public holidays. This year the festival of Holi will be held on March 4. Visitors will not be allowed to enter after 17:00 even though the park closes at 18:00.

Opening dates: February 3 to March 31
Timings: from 10:00 to 18:00
Closing days: Monday 4th March (Holi).

Though entry to Amrit Udyan is free but visitors have to make mandatory online reservation on the official website, visitors have to book their slots in advance as the booking window for a particular day closes at 10:00 AM on the previous day.
Visitors do not need to carry water bottles as drinking water will be provided at various points along the public route. In addition, toilets and first aid/medical facilities will be available.
