Police Commissioner Hyderabad CV Anand chaired the coordination meeting on the occasion of SRI RAMA Navami Shobha Yatra in the Draupadi garden in Sitaram Bagh on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by officials from all departments.
The procession starts from Mangalhat, continues through the statue of Puranapool Gandhi, Jummerath Bazaar, Siddiamber Bazaar, Afzalgunj, Gowliguda, Koti Andhra Bank Cross Roads and ends on the land of Hanuman Vyamshala.
On this occasion, Mr. Anand said that Yatra began in 2010 and gained fame across the country in a short time.
“We are taking security measures from the beginning to the end to prevent any undesirable incidents. People and festival organizers should work with the police about Yatra’s peaceful behavior,” the officer said, asking Shobha Yatra’s procession to 13:00.
Given the past experience and since the Shobha Yatra route is quite narrow, making it difficult to pass large vehicles, the members of the festival committee have been asked to organize a trial operation with vehicles.

The police commissioner asked all government authorities to take steps to ensure that Shobha Yatra ended successfully without any problems. He said that special security measures would be made at all major intersections and problematic areas along the Shobha Yatra route, along with continuous monitoring through CCTV cameras. He asked the organizers and people to follow the rules during Shobha Yatry and celebrate the dedication festival. The organizers of Shobha Yatra should take the relevant measures regarding the height of idols, he said.
All departments of the Municipal Police in Hyderabad and Special Police are preparing to ensure security with 20,000 police personnel for Yatra.
“We found out on the full scale of criminals with Shee and CCS teams. Hyderabad Zonal Police and other watches will create the WhatsApp groups with their employees to facilitate information.”
Meanwhile, another GHMC commissioner said that all arrangements were carried out for Yatra. All officials have been issued for road repairs, street lighting and other facilities and officials were given instructions to ensure that the devotees face no inconvenience.
