Minister R&B BC Janardhan Reddy, who, during interaction with farmers in Kovelakuntle in the Nandyal district, checked agricultural equipment for drone technology on Monday.
Minister of Roads and Buildings (R&B) BC Janardhan Reddy on Monday emphasized the revolutionary role of drones technology in agriculture, which reduced the problems of farmers and made this sector financially viable.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy interact with farmers after distributing agricultural equipment to recipients in Kovelakuntle in the Nandyal district. He said that Andhra Pradesh is the first state in a country that founded a devoted company for developing drone technology.
“We have integrated into the development of a hub with 300 hectares in Orvakal in the district. The concept was assumed by the main Minister N. Chandrababu Naida, who wants the action plan to be set up for the technology centers of the Drone in the Kurnool district.
During interaction, farmers told their positive experience with drone technology including spraying of chemicals and fertilizers that phenomenally reduced labor costs.
Farmer Janardhan said that while one liter of pesticide was previously required for ACR, consumption decreased by 40 percent due to drone technology. Another farmer informed the minister that drones could cover the area of 10 hectares in just three hours, in addition to ensuring the perfect and uniform application of pesticides.
Later, he spoke to the media, the Minister accused the previous government Yangan Mohan Reddy for neglecting agricultural mechanization and stopping the division of agricultural equipment to recipients, thereby disturbing cultivation in the state.
The Minister said that in 2014–1919 hundreds of tractors were delivered to farmers under a subsidy. He also claimed that the YSR (YSRCP) Congress Party (YSRCP) resorted to discrepancies in the distribution of tractors for farmers during its regime. “The state government ordered an investigation by Fiasco, which caused agricultural officials to explore and present a report,” he said.
