On Sunday, the Gouribidanur police arrested 28 -year -old authorshaw driver for allegedly cutting off her birthday cake with a sword on Saturday in his village.
The defendant Anil Kumar, Lagumenahali resident, celebrated his birthday with his friends, and allegedly cried the cake with a sword. One of his friends recorded a celebration on his mobile phone and shared it in his social media account. The video became viral.
Police Jurisdiction took note of the SUO Moto case and traced Anil Kumar. He was arrested for accusation of public harassment and confiscated the sword for further investigation according to the law on weapons and the police.
The police recorded their statements and released it on a bail at a set of conditions.
