Minister of Small sectors and public businesses Sharanabasappa Darshanapur said that the drinking water project will be implemented in seven Yadgir cities in five phases within the Atal Mission Project for Receiving and the City Transform (AMRUT) 2.0.
On Tuesday, he addressed a meeting with a revision to discuss the situation of drinking water in the district.
Mr. Darshanapur said that Hunsagi, Kakker, Shahapur, Bheemarayanagudi, Yadgir, Gurmmmal and other city were selected to implement the AMRUT 2.0 drinking water project and Grant 340.92 Crore was assigned.
The proposed work will be completed in the next two years. “The grant was released with a 50% share of the Union government, a 40% share of the state government and the remaining 10% share of the city’s local authorities,” he added.
The Minister said that the departments of the departments concerned should take all measures and ensure that drinking drinking water is supplied to rural areas through tankers and pipes.
“Officers will be responsible if there are complaints about water deficiency and also against the supply of contaminated water,” he added.
The state government has issued a total of 50.96 GBP Crore for drinking water projects, which must be implemented in Yadgir, Shahapur, Shorapur, Gurmmmkal, Kembhavi, Kakker and Hunsagi.
Shorapur City now receives drinking water continuously after the second phase of the drinking water project 18 March 2023. The drinking water scheme is expected to be completed into Shahapur City of Sannati Bridge-Cum-Barrage.
