As part of the preparation for the northeast monsoon, the fire and rescue services of the drill in the pine forest adjacent to Kamaraj Sagar in Udhagamandalam in Nilgiris on Thursday (September 4, 2025).
The staff performed a demonstration of rescuers in water units and showed the public members how to carry out CPR. They also showed techniques to rescue people trapped in debris and also sensitized tourists about steps that they can do to ensure their safety during the monsoon.
The District Administration is to organize a check meeting in the coming weeks to review the measures of the prepared government that government authorities meet any emergencies resulting from the monsoon.
Officials from the income department were also present during the exercise.
