The Defense and Development Organization (DrDO) successfully conducted a follow -up test flight of Pralay missiles from APJ ABDUL Kalam island on the ODISHA coast on Monday, July 28, 2025) and Tuesday, July 29, 2025).
Test flights were made as part of users’ evaluation to verify the maximum and minimum range of the missile system, said the Ministry of Defense of the Union (MOD). The missiles followed exactly the intended trajectory and achieved the target accuracy of accuracy, met all test objectives. All subsystems performed as expected that have been verified using test data captured by tracking sensors deployed by integrated test range, including tools deployed on ships located near the specified point of impact.
Pralay is an indigenous developed solid drive set of quasi-ballistic rocket that uses the most modern instructions and navigation to ensure high accuracy. The rocket is able to carry multiple types of warheads against different targets. The system was developed by the Research Center IMARAT in cooperation with other DrDO laboratories; Bharat Dynamics Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited industrial partners; Several industries and micro, small and medium -sized enterprises (MSME).
Test flights witnessed older scientists DrDdo, representatives of users from the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army, as well as representatives of industry.
The Minister of Defense of the Union Rajnath Singh praised the bunny, the armed forces and the defense industry for successful test flights. The rocket equipped with modern technologies will provide further technological support to the armed forces against threats, said Mr. Singh.
Congratulations to the teams, the secretary, the defense department and the chairman of the DrDO Samir V. Kamat said that the successful completion of the first phase of test flights paved the way to induce the system into the armed forces in the near future, Mod said.
