
Angels’ wildlife activist filed a public interest in the Keral High Court, in which he sought to preventive and mitigating steps to resolve the conflicts of wild animals in the state.
Pil is looking for measures to carry out the recommendations of the controller and the general auditor (CAG) in 2022 on preventive and alleviating steps to be taken to prevent the conflict of human and tistin in Kerala.
The petitioner also questioned the resolution that passed through the Chakkittapar Panchayat in Kozhikod to kill all the wild animals that embarked on Panchayat.
As they claim, it led to bad will among people against animals, as well as examples of political leaders, allegedly misleading the public to kill wild animals. It has also become a tool for such leaders to gain support with regard to the upcoming local body surveys.
She was also looking for steps to relax an elephant, which was humiliated and captured by forest clerks and held in the Elephant camp in Muthang. Under the relevant laws, the captured tigers and leopards must also be released.
In addition, the alleged departure of forest land for use by churches and hospital must be probed by an independent agency. The amicus curiae must be named to focus on cases of converting forest land for use without forests.
