Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited (CNNL) issued a flood warning to people living in a stream of the cabini dam because the authorities intend to intensify the drain from the tank.
The edition said that the river basin received heavy rains, as a result the level of the tributary to the dam on Thursday increased to more than 20,000 cusecs. As the tank level was almost close to 2284 ft.
People were therefore dismissed to move to safer places along with their livestock and not punk near the banks of the river. The authorities also warned that, as a result of the increase in outflow, the Bidarahalli bridge is expected to immerse.
Meanwhile, the water level at the cabini dam was 2282.43 feet on Thursday and the tide was 24 381 CUSECS.
