Drain from Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) near the increase in tide and due to the continuous collision in the Krishnaraja River Basin (KRS) was increased to 85,000 cusecs.
Warning of floods issued by authorities warned not only people who stayed along the banks of the river, but also forbade people to visit low -lying areas.
Farmers were asked not to take or leave their cattle near the banks of the river or low -laid areas. People were also warned against visiting the banks of the river or bridges. Swimming in waters and taking selfies near the river was also forbidden, added a statement.
The water level in the tank was 123.85 feet at 8 pm 27th July against the full level of the tank 124.80 feet. While the inflow to the tank was 74 946 CUSECS, the drain was 85 952 CUSECS, including the release of water into the canal and drinking water supply.
