After accusing employees belonging to the planned KAST (SCS) and planned strains (STS), which have been denied opportunities in promotion across government authorities, the Ministry of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) began to collect information from all departments.
The exercise, which began on Tuesday, comes after the President of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to the chief Minister Siddaramaiaha, who emphasized the opportunities that sc/ST reported. Sources stated that the main minister asked for a report from DPAR. The department was also looking for information about the current state of pending contributions, the state of reservation in promotion and percentage of SC/ST staff in all cadres. “The relevant departments were asked to submit proceedings for the Ministry’s promotion committee, a list of seniorities and government orders issued on promotional verification,” the sources said.
Previously, the government also asked the Association of State Government of the Karnataka SC/ST, and complained that the seniorities were ignored and the promotion was rejected despite the subsequent seniority Act in 2017.
The President of the Association D. Chandraskaraiah told Hindi that the list of seniority was not elaborated correctly and all the efforts to “denial” the promotion to SC/st employees were made. “We have described this problem several times and despite our concerns, the seniority is overlooked by the Ministry’s promotion committee,” he said.
