On Saturday 23rd August, the Telangana (ACB) anti -corruption office captured the police station in Dornakal in the Mahabubabad district and its shooter and received a bribe of 30,000 GBP.
The officer, identified as Inspector Bhukya Rajesh, and Constable Daravath Ravi were imprisoned after allegedly demanded 50,000 GBP from the complainant to release the seized vehicle and extend the cooperation in the case of registered at the station at the beginning of this year. According to ACB, the complainant paid the initial amount of 30,000 GBP, which was obtained from the possession of Rajesh.
Both officers were arrested and were made before a special judge for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal. Further investigation of the case is underway.
ACB urged the public to report bribes requirements via the free number 1064 or by the official accounts of WhatsApp, Facebook and X, ensuring that the identity of the complainants will maintain confidential.
