Dorian Finney-Smith has played an important role in transforming Los Angeles Lakers since his arrival at the end of December, strengthening defense, peripheral shooting and leading skills for the Lakers. While the great attention was focused around Luka Doni and his offensive performances, Finney-Smith was also an invaluable accessory to the Lakers.

The NBA recognized its professionalism and the impact on the court outside it and on Wednesday 2. April named it one of the six finalists for the NBA sports price. The price is for those players who show sports behavior, fair play and integrity throughout the season.
Finney-Smith was traded in December who sent the fighting guard D’Angelo Russell to Brooklyn Nets. Since then, he has played a key role in the Lakers increase in the ranking and offered a hard defensive presence and a consistent three -point shot. His flexibility to defend more positions and hit open shots made him an irreplaceable item in the rotation of head coach Darvin Ham
Finalists for the price of 2025 NBA Sportsmanship Award
Together with Finney-Smith, NBA announced the following finalists for the Award Sportsmanship Award:

- Jarrett Allen-Cleveland Cavaliers
- JRUE HOLIDAY – BOSTON CELTICS
- Franz Wagner- Orlando Magic

Each NBA team nominates one player at the price, while the finalists are selected from each division. The winner is determined by the player’s vote at the end of the regular season. Points are awarded on the basis of the evaluation, while the votes earn 11 points in the first place, the second place votes earning nine, etc. The player with the highest overall score will win the prize.
MINNEK Timberwolves Mike Conley holds a record for most of the victory after four times claimed the Sportsmanship Award.
Finney-Smith recently released his best offensive performance of the season, gained 20 points and released six three indicators in victory over Houston Rockets. When he asked his adaptability to different sets, he emphasized his ability to fit smoothly in any team.
“I think that’s one of the big things about my game,” Finney-Smith said. “I can play with any team AS anyone I can get along well, especially when you have stellar power. I’m just happy that the boys found me tonight and I rolled.”
