The grandmother’s innocent conversation with ChatGPT delighted social media users. She clearly believed that a real person was speaking on the other end. Her granddaughter continued the exchange without correcting her misunderstanding.
Abhiruchi Bhatti shared the video on Instagram. She said her Nani thinks ChatGPT is human. Bhatti added that she ‘didn’t have the heart’ to explain otherwise.
“Nani is talking to ChatGPT, she honestly believes there’s a real person on the other end… and honestly, I don’t even have the heart to tell her otherwise,” she wrote.
“May we always protect this pure, innocent generation that finds magic in the simplest of things,” she added.
The clip begins with a grandmother discussing a future bride for her grandson. She is told that the girl is foreign and speaks Hindi.
ChatGPT then enters the conversation with a greeting. Nani replies, seemingly unaware that she is dealing with artificial intelligence.
The AI chatbot will introduce itself and offer to listen or answer questions. Bhatti asks her grandmother to inquire about the prospective bride’s health. ChatGPT in turn asks if Grandma is okay. Nani replies that she is completely fine.
It ends with a heartfelt look at the couple. According to her, both people should remain happy. A slight misunderstanding and Nani’s genuine interest made the online family exchange appealing.

The grandmother continues a heartfelt conversation with her grandson’s ‘future’ wife. She didn’t realize the world had moved on and she wasn’t informed.
ChatGPT India reacted to the heartwarming video. “Nani ji ne toh pyaar welcome kar liya (grandmother welcomed her with great love).”

“They had wrinkles on their faces, but their love made our whole childhood beautiful,” said a social media user.
One user wrote: “This is the last generation that is so loving and innocent.”
However, one user did not appreciate it. The user wrote, “Please don’t do this. At this stage one is like a small child. After watching this clip it seems you are making fun of Amma Ji. So don’t do it.”
“I feel bad. This kind of prank should be banned,” echoed another user.
“I’ve seen a lot of videos like this. But this looks like one where she’s being emotionally abused,” chimed in another.
Another user wrote: “Sister you shouldn’t make fun of her like that. Our parents don’t know how to control their cell phones. Don’t make fun of her like that.”
