The Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with President of the US Donald Trump in the White House on Thursday, where both leaders expressed optimism that the EU-USA trade agreement could be developed.
“100 percent” would be an agreement, Trump said before a working lunch at the White House.
Meloni said it was “certain”, that it could be achieved by agreement, and reaffirmed that the United States is a “reliable partner” despite their tariffs.
Meloni added that she would invite Trump to an official visit to Italy and hope to organize meetings with other European leaders at that time.
