US President Donald Trump released a significant warning to a potential protesters against a large military parade scheduled for Saturday (June 14) in Washington, DC. The event will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Army and also coincides with Trump’s 79th birthday.
“We will celebrate big on Saturday,” Trump told reporters during a briefing in an oval office. “If some protesters want to come out, they will meet very much force.”
Warning of the protesters: “Hat our country”
Trump’s comments come in the middle of national tension after protests in Los Angeles against American immigration and customs enforcement (ICE). A few days ago, the President ordered the city to repress the riots.
“People who want to protest will meet with great force,” he said, adding that he has not heard of any planned protest at the Washington event. “But these are the people who hate our country. They meet with heavy force.”
