US President Donald Trump said he would start broadcasting letters to US business partners from this day to start charging unilateral tariff rates that the country will have to pay from August 1.
When he talked to reporters, the President said tariff rates could start between 10-20 % and could increase up to 70 percent.
“They will range from about 60 or 70% of tariffs to 10 and 20% of tariffs,” he said.
On Friday they will be sent about “10 or 12” letters, revealed Trump and added that other letters would go “in the next few days”.
“I think they will be fully covered for the ninth,” Trump added, referring to the deadline of July 9, who previously created to get into the US stores to avoid higher imports he threatened.
The Republican leader has not worked on which countries will be charged, how many tariffs, or if tariffs are charged for higher rates for certain goods.
If the 70 % tariff that Trump claimed is implemented, it would be higher than any American tariffs that the President originally outlined during his “liberation” introduction of April 2.
The country would have to start paying taxes to the US by August 1, the president said.
“Money will start to come to the United States 1. August.”
