US President Donald Trump expressed disappointment over Russian President Vladimir Putin for not preventing war from Ukraine that caused significant victims. He also criticized European countries for buying oil from Russia in the middle of the ongoing war.
“He disappointed me. I think he kills many people and loses more people than him, you know than kills. Honestly, Russian soldiers are killed to a higher extent than Ukrainian soldiers,” Bloomberg News quoted at a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Trump admitted that although he believed that the war of Russia-Ukraine would be “easiest” to solve, this was not the case.
Trump that urged the countries to stop buying oil from Russia, said, “Very simply, if the price of oil will decrease, Putin falls out.” He won’t have a choice. He will fall out of that war, ”he added.
“I am willing to do other things, but not when the people I fight are buying oil from Russia,” Trump said.
In addition, the war in Ukraine would not start if it remained in the White House. “It was a thing that would never happen if I were president. If I were president, it would never happen. And it didn’t happen for four years,” Trump said.
After the summit between Putin and Trump in Alaska, where the American leader called on the Russian President to talk to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zlensky, the peace agreement did not take place.
