
US President Donald Trump revealed that he had a 75 -minute phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Trump, the interview focused on the recent Ukrainian attacks on the anchored Russian military aircraft and a wider military escalation in the region.
“We discussed the attack on Russian anchored aircraft, Ukraine and also on various other attacks that took place,” both sides, ” Trump wrote.
While describing the exchange as “good conversation”, Trump added that it would not lead to an immediate solution. “It was a good conversation, but not an interview that will lead to peace,” he said.
Putin promises a response to a Ukrainian strike
Trump noted that Putin had expressed a strong displeasure with a recent attack by Ukraine on Russian airports and proposed that retaliation is immediate. “President Putin said and very strongly that he would have to respond to the recent attack on the airport,” Trump said.
Iranian nuclear interviews also on the agenda
Both leaders also reportedly discussed Iranian nuclear ambitions, which is a problem that Trump has characterized as urgent. “Time is deciding Iran on nuclear weapons that must be made quickly!” Trump warned.
