US President Donald Trump said on Monday that India had offered to reduce her tariffs to “nothing”. He called the American relationship with India “unilateral” and wrote on his social platform of truth: “Now they offered to reduce their tariffs, but it is too late. They should have done it years ago.”
Trump’s statement came when Prime Minister Narendra Modi published the performance of Solidarity with Chinese and Russian leaders face to face business pressure from Washington.

In his post on the social media, Trump said: “Few people understand that we do very few shops with India, but they are doing a huge amount of business with us.”
“In other words, they sell us a huge number of goods, their largest” client “, but we sell them very little – up to now a completely unilateral relationship, and that’s for many decades,” he said.
The US President added that the reason is that “India has accused us so far, such high tariffs, most of the country that our companies are unable to sell to India.”

The Indian Embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to Trump’s comments that followed the total obligations of up to 50% to Indian goods that raised questions about the future of the US and India relationship.
