US President Donald Trump said his primary goal in any dealing with Iran is the “complete dismantling” of the country’s nuclear program. He reported a potential willingness to consider allowing Tehranian approach to civilian nuclear energy under strict conditions.
Trump was clear in his demand to talk to NBC News: “We don’t want them to have a nuclear weapon. It’s a very simple agreement. The overall dismantling – that’s what we want.”
Open for hearing of arguments for civilian energy
Despite the hard attitude, Trump seemed to leave the door open for a compromise, especially with regard to the peace development of nuclear development.
“I think I would be an open hearing, you know? Civil energy, it is called,” he said.
Yet the President warned that even peaceful nuclear programs carry inherent risks.
“But you know, civilian energies often lead to military wars,” he added.
Notes come in the middle of the renewed tension on Iranian nuclear activities and stopped diplomacy after the collapse of the 2015 nuclear agreement during the first period of Trump.
Trump’s administration has not announced any new interviews, but Trump’s latest notes can lay the foundations for future negotiations or backchannel diplomacy.
Iran speaks of stopping
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Thursday (May 1) that Iran must end his enrichment of uranium, stop the development of long -range missiles, and allow US insights to achieve a nuclear agreement with Washington. His notes come as a planned round of nuclear interviews was postponed in the middle of the escalating tension.
“He must leave enrichment,” said Rubio Fox News. “He must leave a sponsoring terrorist … and from building long range missiles that have no other purpose than having nuclear weapons.”
The interviews settled again

Rubio: Import uranium, no enrichment

“If you have the ability to enrich by 3.67%, it takes only a few weeks to get 20%, then 60%… and 90%you need for a weapon,” he said.
“The only country in the world that enriches uranium is those that have nuclear weapons.”
Iran pushes back: NPT guarantees rights
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi strongly answered and called on Rubi’s claims misleading.
“Repetition of illnesses will not change the basic facts,” Araqchi published on X.
He added that he enriches more countries and refuses nuclear weapons.
“In addition to Iran, this club includes several Asian, European and South American nations. Maximumistic placement and Western rhetoric do nothing but eroding chances of success.”
Inspectorate must include military places, says Rubio
