During a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump surprised a mother of three with an unexpected act of generosity while she was shopping at a local grocery store in Kittanning. The woman, who was among hundreds of shoppers gathered at the neighborhood market, received $100 from Trump to help with her grocery bill.
“Here, this will help,” Trump told her as he handed over the cash.
The moment was captured on video, with Trump’s communications team confirming the woman’s identity as a mother of three. “It just went down 100 bucks,” Trump quipped, to which the woman responded, “Thank you very much.”
Trump left her with a hopeful note, saying, “We’ll do it for you from the White House, okay?” before thanking the crowd for their support.
The former president also made a point of supporting the local business by purchasing a large bag of popcorn. “Oh, look, I’ve got to get something. We have to get it,” Trump said with a smile as he handed the bag to his team.
A customer nearby commented, “My mom actually got a bag,” to which Trump asked, “Is it good?” When assured it was the best popcorn, Trump joked, “If it is, I’ll send it to Washington, D.C.—hopefully, I’ll send it to the Oval Office.”
During his visit, Trump spoke with the store’s owner, who explained the challenges of running a small business amid rising inflation. “Every year we grew, except for the last three years because of this inflation,” the owner shared. “Prices are higher, but our sales are down, so we’ve had to be super creative in how we use our space.”
Trump acknowledged the difficulties, replying, “Prices are rising, but your sales are falling.” The owner credited his dedicated team and family for helping him navigate the tough times.
As the presidential race enters its final weeks, Trump has been focusing his efforts on key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, where he continues to connect with voters and highlight economic issues.
The visit also highlighted Trump’s promise to address inflation and support small businesses if elected. “We sincerely got the best crew in the world,” the store owner said, to which Trump responded with encouragement.
