
After his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump ruled out a truce to end the “terrible” war with the Russian-Ukraine and said that the way out would be a “peace agreement” between two nations.
He said he “had a great and very successful day on Alaska”.
Trump met with Putin on Alaska on Friday and spoke for several hours and discussed the war in Ukraine at a meeting that the White House described as “historical”.
The US President said he spoke to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zlensky and various European leaders, “including the highly respected NATO Secretary General”.
“It was intended for all that the best way to end the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a peace agreement that would end the war, not a mere agreement on a ceasefire that often does not hold,” Trump said.
Green in the White House on Monday
Donald Trump also revealed that his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zlensky would visit the White House on Monday 18 August.
“The President Zeletskyy will come to DC, oval offices, Monday afternoon. If everything works out, we will plan to meet with President Putin,” he said.
Through the Russian Peace Agreement, Trump said “millions of people’s lives will be saved”.
Previously, he also confirmed that he would visit the White House on Monday.
He said Trump invited him on Saturday in a phone call that lasted more than an hour and a half. After an hour, European and NATO officials joined them, he added.
On X said he and Trump “discussing all the details of ending killing and war” and adding, “I am grateful for the invitation.”
He said Zelena that a three -way meeting between Putin, Trump and himself is the key to ending the air war to the end.
In his statement after the Putin summit, he did not state any movement in the Russian maximumist position and stated that it was necessary to eliminate the “root causes” of the war and deal with “legitimate concerns” of Moscow.
