
Bangladeshi’s interim leader, Muhammad Yunus, said he said that he “thinks” withdrawal, almost a year after taking over the office after a mass agitation that ruled out the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasin.

1. Political protests over the Bangladesh elections
The Bangladeshi Nationalist Party (BNP), the rival of Sheikh Hasina Awami League party and led by former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, was looking for nationwide elections until December this year. The party wants Yunus to determine the election date.
However, NCP stated that the elections must only be held after the reforms are completed.

Yunus said the elections can be delayed until 2026.

The Head of the National Civic Party (NCP) proved on Wednesday and stated that they would not participate in any elections according to the current election commission. They protested against the election commission and claimed that BNP took it over.

4. No agreement on the “humanitarian corridor”
The initiative for the establishment of the so -called “humanitarian corridor” is considered to be the main dispute between advisors to Yunus and military facilities.
The corridor connects Chittagong with the myanmar province of Rakhine.
