Many say that a girl was a teenage daughter Kim Jong Un, maybe she went abroad for the first time. Kim Jong Un was in Beijing to attend Wednesday’s show, during which Chinese President Xi Jinping boasted his military forces. But the girl was not seen on Wednesday when her father knocked down the red carpet on Tiananmen Square in front of Xi’s military parade.
“Right now Ju Ae is a pioneer as another Supreme Leader of North Korea,” said Michael Madden, an expert on North Korea’s lead at Stimson, as Reuters said. “It gains a practical experience from the protocol that should serve as another leader of North Korea or the basic elite.”
Madden said it was the first time Kim Jong Un outside North Korea – an experience that neither her father nor a powerful aunt had had.

“Respected” daughter rather than “beloved”
Ju AE, estimated for about 13 years, was increasingly participating in a major event in May, including her diplomatic debut at the Russian embassy.

“The extent of her public appearances has definitely expanded over the years from military places to political and economic events,” said Rachel Minyoung Lee, another Stimson Center researcher.
In recent reports, including those carried BBC last yearNorth Korea observers noted how Kim is now referred to as “respected” daughter, rather than “beloved” because she was first introduced during her public debut in November 2022.
The adjective “respected” is reserved for the most worshiped North Korea. In the case of Kim, according to the BCC report of 2024, it was referred to as the “respected comrade” only after its position as the future leader.
Right now Ju Ae is a pioneer as the next Supreme Leader of North Korea.
“If it was a inheritance campaign, it would certainly help with this effort, because it would be considered a debut Kim Ju AE on the international scene,” Lee told Reuters.
