Hyderabad, timely intervention of the Minister of Health Telangana and the Fast Action of Doctors at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims), helped save the life of Pall Shruti, an intermediate student from Jammikunt in the Karimnagar district, who tried to suicide after her tests failed.
23 April, upset that she had not cleaned her middle tests, Mrs. Shruti consumed a harmful mixture. Her family plunged her into a private hospital in Karimnagar, where she was placed on a fan. However, after two days without improvement, doctors recommended that it be moved to Hyderabad for advanced treatment.
Mrs. Shruti’s parents faced financial restrictions and despair, addressed relatives of the Minister of Health C. Damodar Raja Zarasimha. The Minister responded quickly and contacted the director of Nims N. Bheerappa and instructed the emergency medical support to be arranged immediately.
Mrs. Shruti was admitted to the emergency ICU on Nims around midnight on April 25. The following morning it was transferred to acute medical care, where doctors began to treat. She remained on the fan seven days before the gradual recovery. Mrs. Shruti was released from the hospital on Friday (May 2). The treatment was provided without costs within the Fund of the Auxiliary Minister (CMRF), the hospital authorities said.
