Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for full recovery in cases of children born with heart disease, said PV RAMA RAO, head of children’s services and directors, Andhra hospitals.
Participation in the Health awareness program, organized by Hinda in conjunction with Andhra Hospitals, on the occasion of World Heart Day 2025, on Monday in hospital premises in Vijayawada, Dr. Rama Rao said that if parents notice some of the symptoms such as blue -trepe, lips or tongue, weight acceptance, Fever, Fears, among them they would notice their symptoms, they would have their symptoms to notice their symptoms such as blue skin, lips or tongue.
“In timely diagnosis and treatment, 90% of children with heart defects can live a normal life,” Dr. Rama Rao. In response to the question of why heart disease becomes more common among young people, another cardiologist K. Tirupati Rao said it was a myth that heart disease existed only in elderly. Changing lifestyle, stress and food habits determine heart health.
“There are eight main factors, except for genetics that contribute to 90% of heart disease. Smoking, drinking alcohol, blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, cholesterol, food habits, lack of exercise,” Tirupati Rao and added that all this is under the control of the individual. Those who have a risk factor should go to control the heart once a year or every six months.
Another cardiologist, B. Raghu RAM, arrested the myth of coronavir vaccinations and increased the risk of heart attacks. Vaccination does not have any role in deterioration of heart conditions, explained. “However, the risk of heart attacks increases in those who have started to infect coronavirus. The risk further increases if they do not have a healthy lifestyle,” Dr. Raghu RAM.
Doctors explained to patients that one should lead a healthy lifestyle to reduce their chances of developing heart disease. Those who have undergone a stent implant should see a doctor if they continue to experience discomfort or pain.
