
The Delhi Metro Corporation (DMRC) signed an agreement with the telecommunications company on Friday to improve internet connectivity in all its corridors, the official statement said.
It said as part of the plan, Beckhaul Digital Technologies Private Limited will lay 700 kilometers of fiber optic cables along all subway lines, including the airport line.

The launch will be held in the phase, with pink and magenta lines being the first to go online, and the rest are expected to be ready in the next six months, the statement said.
Fiber optic networks will serve as the backbone of high-speed Internet, supporting telecommunications companies, Internet service providers, data centers and smart city projects. It said it will also help to smoothly launch 5G services on Delhi NCR.
The initiative supports the Indian government’s vision for digitally connected countries, the statement said.
It will help telecom companies provide faster and more reliable internet, while allowing DMRC to better utilize its existing infrastructure. It said that with the growing demand for high-speed internet and 5G expansion, the project will play a key role in making Delhi better connect and ready for the future.
