Secretary General Desiya Murpoku Dravid Kazhagam (DMDK) Premallatha Vijayakanant said that the party will attack the election district of Mettur in the 2026 election.
As part of her national tour, Mrs. Premollatha got into Mettura on Monday (August 11, 2025) in the evening. When she spoke on the Mettur Square market, she said that the Mettur constituency is Forte DMDK and the party will win in this election district in the upcoming elections.
She argued that the drug threat increased in Mettur, and increased the problem of contracting workers in the thermal plant of mettur, which is not regularized. People should support the party and the alliance in which it is part of the upcoming elections.
