The Belagavi district administration has banned the use of loud speakers and Disc Jockey (DJ) sound systems.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan issued an order banning the use of DJ systems and sound amplification devices that make excessive noise during festivals, parades and public programs across the district.
No system emitting noise in excess of 75 decibels will be permitted. Restrictions apply between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM
Authorities will be able to take over equipment and register cases if violations occur. This order was issued to maintain public peace, health and law and order, the report said.
