
The district monitoring officer P. Madhusudhan Reddy chaired the meeting in the collection collector on Wednesday to check the preventive measures conducted by various departments for the southwestern monsoon.
When Mr. Reddy focused on line officials, he recommended officials to create plans for vulnerable areas and assess corrective measures for the flood areas. PWD engineers should evaluate water points and ensure that the jacket is strengthened. In the case of any shortcomings, officials will be taken without any delay, he said.
Similarly, sand bags should be prepared and all tanks must be under strict supervision. In case of violations in water points, the public should be instructed to move to safer places.
Each department was asked to develop a report on reaction to emergency situations to handle emergency emergencies related to the monsoon, including infrastructure damage. The revenue, local authorities and PWDs were asked to coordinate and cooperate with each other.
The line department was ordered to keep the necessary equipment/machines in standby during the monsoon. Fallen trees due to wind and rain should be cleaned immediately from the roads.
Medical teams must be created to provide health care by people in the areas affected by floods, and all primary health centers must have sufficient drug reserves, he said.
The monitoring official also ordered officials to ensure the supply of electricity and drinking water and the availability of shelters for help and the first respondents.
The district collector of MS Pasanth and officials of various departments participated.
