France accused a British citizen of offenses, including money laundering and theft of identity after he allegedly organized a bizarre ceremony in Disneyland, Paris, where he played the role of a groom in a false marriage with a nine -year -old girl, prosecutors said on Tuesday.
He is suspected of hiring an entertainment park before he opened to the public on Saturday at a presented wedding event in a contract worth 130,000 euros.
A man who has not been named but has a record in the UK in a criminal record for misdemeanors of sexual attacks, was also appointed as an assisted witness – a step before the accusation – in the probe to suspect the corruption of the minor, prosecutors said.
The incident initially caused a serious alarm when the staff warned the police that it could have been an illegal marriage of children, with an alleged “bride” by a nine -year -old Ukrainian girl.
Later it turned out that it was completely introduced, but the authorities immediately started the investigation.
The British man played “the role of the groom after being professionally created to display a face completely different than his own,” said Meaux Proctor Jean-Baptiste Bladier AFP.
The French court authorities were informed by their British counterparts that the man “was convicted in the past, especially for a sexual crime against minors,” he added on Tuesday.
The man currently wants the British authorities because they did not keep their duties as registered sexual offenders.

The prosecutor said the investigation showed that “marriage” was in fact a “fictitious ceremony to be filmed privately”.
The British is suspected of “recruitment, with the help of a Latvian citizen, other Latvian nationals to ensure the smooth course of the event, as well as about 100 French accessories who were falsely submitted to Disneyland Paris as wedding guests,” the prosecutor said.
The Ukrainian child, who arrived in France two days before the event, suffered “no violence, physical or sexual” and “was not forced to play the role” of the bride, the prosecutor said at the weekend.
According to the prosecutor, Disneyland was deceived by Paris, “the organizer issued himself as a Latvian national and used false documents to secure a contract for hiring the park”.
According to a police source who asked not to be named, this event took place between 5:00 and 7:00.
However, Disneyland Paris sent out in Sunday’s statement that the event was “immediately abolished” with its teams “after identifying significant discrepancies.”
