Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (February 12, 2026) said Kerala was disillusioned with the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) and was looking forward to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance. He said the elected representatives of the party are determined to work at the grassroots level to address the challenges of the people in the state.

The Prime Minister met Kerala BJP panchayat, municipal and corporation members at his official residence. “At 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, the Kerala BJP Panchayat hosted members, municipal members and corporate members from across Kerala, including the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, where the BJP was blessed with a historic mandate,” Mr Modi said via his X handle.

“A wide range of topics were discussed, especially ways to deepen the BJP’s connection with the people, deepen our agenda of good governance and ‘Ease of Living’. It is clear that Kerala has had enough of the LDF and the UDF and is looking at the BJP-NDA with great hope. Therefore, the elected members from the BJP-NDA have said that they will work on the people Modi faces and faces.

“Selfless Effort”

“In a meeting with elected representatives, Kerala BJP paid tribute to every Karyakarta who worked hard to build the party over the years. It is because of their selfless efforts that we have grown across the state. BJP will grow even more in Kerala in times to come,” he said.
