On Tuesday, the Telangana Health Department appointed directors and superintendents at all 34 government medical faculties and their attached university hospitals throughout the state. While some institutions have already appointed their heads, the remaining were named through the government order.
GO published by Minister of Health Christina Z. Chongth approved a panel of special professors and professors considered to be temporary promotion as another director of medical education (ADME), including appointment on the positions of directors and hospital superintendents. As a head of institutions, a total of 44 higher professors were sent under this order.
The list includes, among other things, faculties from leading institutions such as Gandhi Medical College, Osmania Medical College and Kakatiya Medical College. The appointed professors were instructed to take their new roles within 15 days.
