
Former Indian batsman Dinesh Karthik and squash star Dipika Pallikal have announced the birth of their baby girl Raaha Pallikal Karthik. Sharing the news on social media, the couple expressed their happiness and gratitude as they introduced Raaha as the younger sister of their twins, Kabir and Zian.

KOHLI LEADS THE WAY WITH A WISH
Virat Kohli, Sania Mirza and Shikhar Dhawan led the way with wishes for Karthik and Pallikal on social media. Kohli posted a simple heart emoji in the comments section of the post made by the couple, with Dhawan and Mirza sending their congratulations to Karthik and Pallikal.

Karthik had a distinguished career as an Indian international cricketer, playing as a wicket-keeper batsman. After retiring from competitive cricket, he moved into coaching and commentary roles. He represented India in Tests, ODIs and T20 Internationals for over two decades and later served as mentor and batting coach for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League.
Dipika Pallikal is known for her achievements in Indian squash. She was the first Indian to enter the world’s top 10 rankings. She was awarded the Padma Shri and won several medals at the Commonwealth and Asian Games, making her one of India’s most decorated athletes.
Dipika last competed at the Asian Games in Hangzhou in October 2023 where she won the gold medal in the mixed doubles. After maternity leave at the beginning of 2022, she successfully returned to the sport.
After her comeback, Dipika secured two titles at the World Doubles Squash Championship and won a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her achievements continue to inspire many in the sporting community.
