The state has completed the digital resurvey of more than eight Lakh hectares of land and covered 58.65 Lakh land within the project “ENTE BHOOMI”, announced on Saturday Minister of income K. Rajan.
The Minister called this “remarkable success” and said that progress reflected the collective efforts of employees of income and survey. Of the 529 villages where Resurvey began, the work in the field was completed in 334 villages, while the work in the remaining 195 progressed quickly.
Kerala has a total area of 35 lacquers of hectares, of which about seven hectares are forest. Resurvey has already covered one quarter of the remaining 28 Lakh hectares.
While the first resurvey in the state began in 1966, it was completed only in 911 villages over the next 57 years. The current government has adopted advanced technologies and started digital resurvey in November 2022. The project is carried out using CORS, RTK, Rover, ETS, Drone and Lidar, said.
The Minister said that success was made possible by public cooperation, employee obligations, support of local self -governing bodies, representatives of people and the active role of committees on the survey. After completing the digital resurvey, it eliminates border disputes and strengthens neighborly relations, he added.
